Awning Windows are a great choice for homeowners that want full ventilation even on those rainy days. In Chicago Replacement Windows have many of these style is the traditional Bungalow style house. Homeowners are used to there original windows so many times they want to duplicate the design. This window unit comes with a full screen on the inside and cranks out horizontally for cleaning and airflow. The replacement window does have its limitations. It can only be manufactured up to about 45 inches in width and 40 inches in height. Homeowners with a larger window can use picture windows or transoms to fill in the rest of the opening. This is referred to a stack awning system because the windows are stacked on top of each other. There can be up to 3 windows on top of each other. For example if you have a 90-inch high opening than you can go with three 30-inch high awning picture window combinations. So if you like to have your windows open on those rainy days the awning windows would be the right choice for you. Although in terms of cost they are usually approximately 20 percent more than your double hung window and of course much higher in the multiple combination units. |
